From your Mac, sign in to Office 365 operated by 21Vianet with your work or school account. Go to Settings Office 365 Settings Software. On the Software page, under Install Office 2016 for Mac, select Install to begin downloading the installer package. Install Office 2016 on a Mac. Once the download has completed, open Finder, go to Downloads, and double-click MicrosoftOffice2016Installer.pkg (the name might vary slightly). Existing Office 2016 for Mac customers will be seamlessly upgraded to 64-bit versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote as part of the August product release (version 15.25). This affects customers of all license types: Retail, Office 365 Consumer, Office 365.

Office 2016 for Mac Test Drive
Unbelievable, but Microsoft has not yet started giving out trial versions for Office 2016. The only Office Trial version currently available is Office 365, which runs on both PC and Mac.
